I am NOT a Carpenter!

One thing I quickly realized about myself is that I am not a Carpenter.  I fancy myself as a do-it-all kind of guy.   If I set my mind to something I will overcome obstacles and make it happen.  So why wouldn’t I build my own tower blind!   Let’s just say many lessons were learned, but all in all it turned out pretty well.  Water tight and pretty comfortable inside for two people.  As my kids became more involved in hunting the tower blind was key in growing their love for the outdoors as it afforded them a safe haven from the elements.  Many great conversations have taken place in it.  I have learned a lot about my children from sitting in deer blinds and this one has not disappointed.  If you’re going to try your hand at building one make sure to do your homework and have a plan.  It can get overwhelming quickly!  So many small details to think about.  Our family has enjoyed our blind over the years. We have even had some success from it.  But every year is always a success due to the time spent with my children.
